April is a journalist for NPR, where she’s a producer for the national program Talk of the Nation and a web producer for the national desk.
When not wordsmithing online or chasing down the perfect talk show guest, April’s usually busy cooking, reading about cooking, watching PBS cooking shows (or Masterpiece Mystery) … or trying to weed through the torn-out magazine recipes that keep multiplying in her apartment.
She also loves good beer (and only good beer), thrift stores, yard sales, stoop sales and pretty much any other place you can pick up great junk for pocket change. April also digs yoga and Zumba, and is psyched to have rediscovered how much fun it is to ride a bike.
